To encourage participants to think about driving alternatives – and because with big registration numbers parking will be limited – the City of Lakes Nordic Ski Foundation is rewarding individuals that find alternative means of commuting to the Trail Loppet. |

With local band Bellebottom (they play covers of 70's hits), a drink (beer or soda) for all participants and volunteers and a free brat or hot dog for all participants or volunteers who bike or bus to the event, the Trail Loppet promises to be a fun day for all. Bellebottom will play from about 10:30 to 11:45, with awards at noon. |

Over 160 runners gathered for the second annual City of Lakes Trail Day. It was a beautiful fall day in Theodore Wirth Park and, despite a storm that had taken numerous large trees down on the Thursday before the event, the run went off without any big hitches. |
